The proposed Mellorbrook development lies approximately 10 miles to the south east of Manchester city centre with excellent commuter access with road and rail connections.  The motorways M67 and M60 orbital road lying 4 miles from the site.  Junctions 25, 26 and 27 provide direct access into the M62 ,M56, M6  motorways and into the wider regional motorway network. 

There are bus stops on Longhurst Lane within 100m of the site and serves No 305 and 375 services.  The No 375 bus provides a regular link from the site to Stockport and return with a link to Marple Train Station as well. Manchester International Airport is located approximately 14 miles to the South West and provides national and international flights.   

Marple Train Station is only 900m from the proposed Mellorbrook Development with regular services to Manchester and Sheffield taking less than 28 minutes to Manchester City Centre.  On a Monday to Friday there are 45 trains to Manchester and at peak times there are a least 4 trains per hour in each direction.
